New Release!
Since its publication in 2006, the textbook "Digital Speech Transmission" by Prof. Peter Vary and Prof. Rainer Martin has served as a basis for various lectures and holds a prominent position, especially in master's courses.
Now, a brand-new second edition has been released by Wiley. The expanded title, "Digital Speech Transmission and Enhancement," already suggests that the second edition also takes into account the advancements in digital speech transmission and enhancement since the publication of the first edition. The scope of the topics covered in the book chapters exceeds those addressed in the lectures. Current research findings, standards, implementation challenges, and applications have been incorporated, along with numerous recommendations for further reading.
